Montréal-based artist, Hannah Alpha has been working to refine and simplify her expression of the human body in movement for over twenty years. Her work reached an important milestone when she started practicing the ancient art of Tai Chi. Through its repeated movements, she developed an intense consciousness of the unity between being and awareness which permeates throughout her art. Free from superfluous forms and with minimal lines, she illustrates movement and the human body in its simplest expression.

Alpha's work can be found in private and public collections around the world including the Canada Council Art Bank (Ottawa), the Canadian Museum of Civilization (Hull), the Artothèque of the Gabrielle-Roy library (Quebec City), Loto-Québec (Montreal), Sony Music (Toronto), the Royal Bank (Montreal), Chateau Champlain (Montreal), Sanofi Aventis (Laval), Collart Collection (Montreal) and the Hyatt Regency Hotel (Jeddah & Riyadh).

Hannah Alpha has taught drawing and painting at the Saidye Bronfman Center for the Arts in Montreal. She is an active member of the Regroupement des artistes en arts visuels du Québec (RAAV) and of Atelier Circulaire.
