Jennifer Harrison

Jennifer Harrison paints mainly houses and neighbourhoods under trademark pale blue skies. Using thickly-applied impasto and oils, her compositions and colours are inspired both by walks through local laneways and old photos of maritime towns. After years of squeezing what seemed like whole cities onto canvas, recently she has started to expand both the size of the buildings and the scale of her work. Since 1998, Harrison has exhibited extensively in galleries in Canada and throughout the United States.
