Jennifer McGregor is a Canadian artist known for her poured acrylic works on panel and canvas that feature magical, translucent colour.
McGregor’s works provide an optimistic space for visual exploration. Her abstracted forms appear as imaginary landscapes. Natural patterning, organic forms, and stimulating colour are all paramount in McGregor’s work, which takes an interdisciplinary approach as she explores her ideas through media such as acrylic on panel, watercolour on paper, ceramic and textiles.
Originally from Alberta, McGregor began a career in design before attending the Ontario College of Art and Design (now OCAD University) majoring in Drawing and Painting. After three years in Florence, Italy, she returned to Toronto in 2006 where she currently lives and paints.
