Mark has always been around painters. His grand parents on both sides painted. Dad's mom enjoyed her flower filled still life oil paintings, while his mom's parents both loved their watercolour landscapes. He started experimenting with oils first year @ O.C.A.D and instantly found it to be his choice of creativity. Upon graduating in 1999 with an illustration degree, Mark choose to pack up and head west for Whistler,BC where he instantly connected with the outside world and began to paint the mountains. Now Living on the shores of Georgian Bay Mark's paintings of windswept trees, endless waters and escarpment forests hang in commercial galleries across North America. In recent years he has taken "Top Artist" twice at McMichael Galleries annual Autumn Art Sale.
