Manzi has exhibited in galleries in and around Toronto and Hamilton. She has been awarded grants by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council, and the Toronto Arts Council; and she was a finalist for the Boynes Emerging Artist Award of 2022. Her paintings can be found in private collections throughout Canada, Europe, and the United States.

Manzi's work is directly influenced by her immediate surroundings and she is drawn to images that affect her emotionally. Through a process of juxtaposing or layering, she explores the interconnections between these images in her paintings. As we see the windows as the eyes of a house, recognize human traits in animals, and attribute symbolism to flowers - these are what motivate her to paint. In her current work, flowers have become stand-ins for people. She sees qualities and elements in the life cycle of a flower that mirror our own and reflect the human condition.

"My latest body of work utilizes florals and botanicals as the main image, which I alter digitally. I am drawn to exploring the juxtaposition between the natural softness, color, and beauty of plants; to the hardness and unnatural qualities common in digital technology. This series was created during the pandemic and suggests our precarious human relationship to the natural with the synthetic, and the artificial with the real." - Sandra Manzi
