Late December, I made my way to the heart of Parkdale to visit artists Ania Machudera and Swavek Sienkiewicz in their recently renovated home, which also houses both their studios. Both have individual spaces that allow them to focus on their particular mediums; Swavek is a photographer, and Ania works in mixed media (mainly employing plexiglass as her base). Over a cappuccino and biscotti, joined by their son Kajtek and their rescue dog named Plexi (naturally), we discussed the art world, and the perks of living on Queen West.
