It has been twenty years, with thousands of smalls showcased and sold, and here we are again, with another fantastic show. After Shira and I surveyed what will be available in this years annual Festival of Smalls, we are super excited. Here is a sneak pee
I had the great pleasure of visiting Danielle again, but this time it was at her live/work space that she shares with her partner, artist/industrial designer Mahmood Popal. Their space exudes creativity and is filled with works of art, art supplies, sculptures, books, antiques, heirlooms and found objects. There was so much to talk about that I could have spent the whole night in the company of these two laid-back, talented, and prolific artists.
Beauty, play, and nostalgia inform the work of Danielle Hession, and fittingly her studio reflects these elements. This charming studio located in a quiet, residential neighbourhood, is just one of two spaces where Danielle creates her artwork. I had a lovely visit with Danielle and her mother Jocelyn, where we sipped tea, and pondered life, passions and art, when I visited her whimsical space some weeks ago.
Dana Ezer passionately views art as a major part of her life. She grew up in a home full of art and has ensured that her young children are likewise exposed to art at a young age; the art that lines the children's bedroom walls will eventually be transported to their future homes. Dana trusts her instincts to guide her while she builds an impressive collection, with her husband, in their carefully curated, contemporary space. When she visits Art Interiors, we often lose ourselves in winding conversations, gushing over our latest artist finds and dream pieces.
Julie Brown, Creative Brand Director at Au Lit Fine Linens and the host of PinTV on Coral, and her husband Jeremy registered at Art Interiors for their wedding. They created this beautiful grouping with the artwork they received.
